Embedding video — you should try it. You can use any one of the millions of videos on YouTube to liven up a blog post for nothing. Just copy the “embed” HTML code, paste it into a blog and bam — content that doesn’t cost a dime.
YouTube’s TOS says you can embed videos in a blog as long as you’re not:
o Trying to compete with YouTube
o Trying to directly make money from the video (like selling access or targeting advertising to it)
YouTube, of course, is not the only video portal. Wikipedia lists a few dozen, most of which are free. To be sure if you can use them, have your lawyer take a look. But if they offer embeddable video, you should be safe following the two guidelines above.
