Holiday Retailers Getting into Christmas Spirit Already?
Monday was the first day of fall. The weather has turned noticeably colder in Rhode Island. Yup, it’s time to wave good bye to summer and say hello to…Santa?
The Associated Press is reporting that Macy’s and Target are getting into the holiday spirit—about two weeks before October. The Consumerist has an image of a Target Christmas countdown clock.
It’s almost too cliché to mention—retailers put up holiday decorations well before Christmas every year—but doesn’t this seem extra early?
Maybe the shaky economy has retailers wishing for the warmth of the holidays.
