Is Paper Catalog for Consumers on Life Support?

August 22nd, 2008
Soon enough, our mailboxes will be getting bunched up with paper catalogs from the eretailers we’ve purchased from.

Roughly 9 out of the 10 marketers I’ve spoken with — who have used catalogs in the past — are mailing a holiday book again this year. And no doubt their books will augment their Web sales. The catalog is not on life-support — at least not yet.

But you have to believe it will be, sooner or later. Consumers simply have less and less use for paper periodicals. The crowd has moved online.

Will the paper catalog completely die off? What do you think?
